flwatersaver Posted November 15, 2011 Report Share Posted November 15, 2011 I have the Hornady Critical Defense in my kahr p380, as for my glock 23 i have winchester talons, I have gold dot in my 38spl, Find a round that will fire, cycle, and have a recoil that you can manage. I wouldn't blame the ammo without ruling out the gun as the issue first. The hollow point bends when cycling, it is soft. So it causes it to malfunction. It is the only round my p3800 kahr has not liked. My kahr pm40 eats the gold dots with no issues. I have not shot it yet (at about $1.50 per shot retail- I can't say I will shoot too much of it for fun). There was a nice display at the gun shop of the way the bullet mushrooms after impact. Very pretty. They look serious though: I say yes.
