I have been placed in that situation and i can guarantee your life will never be the same after you pull the trigger... CJ18 Posted November 28, 2011 Report Share Posted November 28, 2011 The Hornady Critical defense with the soft tip is the only thing that I will carry in my Glock 27 that is always on my hip. I have shot a few different brands of personal defense ammo(dont remember them off the top of my head). The Hornady was the most accurate of everything that i shot. I thought I was going to have to use it last night. I was woken up at 330am yesterday morning in my hotel room by what turned out to be a man throwing his arranged marriage wife up against the wall that adjoined to my room 2 different times. My GF first woke me up and I grabbed my pistol off of the nightstand because I originally thought that they were trying to break through the door that adjoined the two rooms. I called the police and whatever happened was broken up and was we were able to get back to sleep. This was the first time that I have ever been woken up in the middle of the night and thought that my life or someone elses could be in danger. Situations like that just reassure me as to why I carry a weapon with me at all times and why it is important to know how to use it and when it is ok to use it. Sorry for my little short story. Anyways back to the original topic. Hornady make a very good self defense ammo that is definitely worth your time to buy a box to try out for yourself. I would hate to be on the receiving end of this round... It has great expansion and its very controlled and clean as well as it cycles great in my Glock...
