my computer wont even recognize 4 gigs of ram.......most other peoples wont either. I think you need 64 bit before you can even start thinking about that.....even then theres more too it then i can even explain. I think i might drop 3 gigs in because rumor has it i might be able to use 2.5 of it

should be limited to 3GB for 32-bit...

but who gets Vista and doesn't get 64-bit?

I just figured you had 64...

and with Vista using near 1 GB of RAM by it's self leaving 1GB for games isn't enough. true, you may barely need 3 GB, but it's an odd number that playes with your timing, making it impossible to run T2

from what i understand from a few different people, there is no point in upgrading to vista 64....maybe you can tell me what kind of benefit i would notice from that compared to what i have now (vista home premium).

as i play this game i am completely astonished at the graphics......so if theres a patch for it cool, if not oh well........its simply amazing just the way it is.

update: im pretty deep in this game now and i gotta say it is THE sickest computer game ive ever played. The graphics are out of this world.....i cant say enough about it, if you have the machine for this game you probably agree if your as far into it as i am. Its just insane how sick it is.......ok im done now just wanted to get that out

the reason why Crysis won't run on completely maxxed settings on your SLI 8800GTX is nVidias fault. They need to work on making some better drivers. From what I hear, they're working on getting the single card drivers right but nothing really for SLI 8800 cards... Make sure your graphics drive is up to date and everything.

EDIT:

About your RAM issue, you need to upgrade to 64-bit OS so it'll be able to address it all. 64-bit Vista runs pretty good from what I hear. Any 32-bit programs you have will still work (or should work).

it is, im maxed out right now but shadows medium and shaders High....im over it now, there is supposed to be a patch any day anyway. I gotta say im blown back by this game even with those 2 settings not pinned back lol.

the gameplay is fun too not just graphix and oh "cloak mode" FTMFW

you mean inside the mountain with all those ghost looking things? I just got out of there im on an icy mountain now tryin to keep my buddy warm (from the car fires) because his suit malfunctioned and all that good stuff.

1024x768 res, everything on low. Just BARELY playable on single player demo.

Hopefully that'll change when I build my new computer. xD
