Or if you want to keep it that way, at least seal the trunk off from the cabin. It's just structural support for the rear deck and it really doesn't need it. Mine's doing just fine without it. If you go that route though, seal it off for sure. Pretty much have to cut out the mdf to fit all the gaps and seal it to the back seat area, the same concept as making beauty panels.
