Forevrbumpn Posted November 15, 2007 Report Posted November 15, 2007 Once again a buddy of mind came thru with a job for me- Ive been bored with no side jobs. Came to me with a budget, told him what he could get. Was going to do 6-12"s but the dimensions were not right. Was going to do 2-15"s, but ended up getting a killer deal on 4- 15"s, so fawk it. Started crunching some numbers, and came up with a 6cf box, tuned to about 33-34 hz. I was skeptical about 6cf for 4-15s, but the subs are recomended at 1.5cf ported anyways. The M3s are very high Bl subwoofers, so they can hang with the smaller box. Amp is a Diamond audio 1000 watt mono block at 1 ohm, so each sub should be getting about 250rms, not bad for some 300rms subs I still think this will get pretty loud... I only have a few pics tonite, but tomorrow everything should be comming together... Heres what I got tonite so far I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

Forevrbumpn Posted November 16, 2007 Author Report Posted November 16, 2007 Alright, been a busy day, got off work, drove kids places, bought more speakers, 2 more 15" M3s, 2- more 12" M3s, and some soundstreams- Got about 3 customers lined up now.... Started finishing the 4- 15s build tonite, but after I was trying to bring the speakers home, I ran out of gas on San Jaun between Madison/Greenback, so that killed 2 hrs, damn- Feet are killing me. I got a ride from a VERY nice and brave woman, said she just ran out of gas too, and told me that the next person she see's walking down the street she will ask if they need help- Thanks mystery woman ;-) Anyways, got home bout 630- started the build again at 7pm heres a few pics ^^^ this here is a trick, when you need to build a box that is bigger than how large your trunk is to carry the wood, do the box in portions like this, it works just fine, and you see braceing is added as well.... new jigsaw, the laser does help believe it or not and ofcourse the router I have a ritual called "terminator". Thinking about grey carpet, and black trim, possible box will be black carpeted, and then some 1/4" mdf trimmed to the outside diameter of the subs carpeted grey, then the black carpet will expose from the middle, plus 1 amp on each side of the box, possibly, well, hopefully a second battery here soon....
