egag Posted November 19, 2011 Report Share Posted November 19, 2011 how much clean power can i put on 2 Fi Q 15s or 18s fully loaded? i know they can take 1500 watts RMS but i am wondering how much power i can put on them without blowing them like 2k RMS? or 2.5k RMS per sub or not go higher than 1.5k per sub? Robert8252 Posted November 19, 2011 Report Share Posted November 19, 2011 I don't know what all they changed recently to get to 1500rms from 1000 but I threw a aq 2200 at .5 on one of the 1000 rated ones and it sounded good. But that thing got hot quicker than a frying pan. So I would stick to rated power. After a half hour of Decaf, my 15 will get warm.
