How Will This Sound?

Hi guys, how will this sound, will it be ok? 4x RE SE 15" in 8 or 10 ft^3 total tuned at 34-35Hz? thus giving each like 2 or 2.5 ft^3, I know RE recommend 3ft^3 Compact and 4ft^3 optimal, but could they work in smaller ported enclosures?

Also wich one of these two you guys will choose: 4x RE SE 12" in 7.2ft^3 Ported tuned at 34Hz or 4x RE SE 15" in 7.2ft^3 Sealed.

Anyways thanks i need some opinion/advice before i make decisions

if the lowest RE recommends is 3 cubes for a 15...i'd try not to go smaller than that. the enclosure can make or break your setup

i would do the four 12's if you only have 7.2cubes to work with...and if that is after all displacement, otherwise u should cut the number of subs and could probably do two 15s

Yea definatly!!the box can definatly make or break a setup so yea i wouldnt go ne smaller than the recommended..and i would go with a ported box!!i used to have 2 12" RF P2s in a small seald box and it sounded ok but then i cut 3-1/2in holes and stuck 2 3-1/2in aero port tubes in it and you wouldnt believe the diff. and then i went to a 6cu.ft. box at 32hz(my current box) and now i have the 2 12" TC-1000s in and i am rite round the low to mid 140dbs ..so deff ported!

thanks guys, so you guys recommend the 4x RE SE 12' ported compared to the 4x RE SE 15 sealed, will the 4x 12" ported be much much louder than the 4x 15's? thanks.

go for the 4-12ers that will be louder yeah, you can also do more with your enclosure, is not good if RE recommend 3 cu/ft a 15er to go under the 3 cu/ft just go for the 4-12ers that will be good choice, AND LOUD

yes, given your space you have to work with, the 4 12's will be a much better match. i dont think you'll be disappointed
