206xtreme
Hello, I have a problem with my amplifiers and I wonder if someone could give me some help. I have a Team Cactus 7kW for my subwoofer and a Hifonics XXX Colossus for my speakers. I made in the back of my car a battery pack and installed my amplifiers on the top of it. The problem is that when the bass burps sometimes they stop working. I would like to add that there is no problem with my currents or with protection-mode on amplifiers. Has anyone faced such problem before? Does anyone know what the damage might be? Thank you guys. 206xtreme
8 Fullriver HC65 on the rear and 1 Fullriver HC65 on the front. All with a Mechman 320A alternator. I have no problem with currents. The problem starts with the vibrations.... 3 lines of 1/0G from the front to the rear batteries, big3 upgrade with 2/0G, copper-lines to the rear batteries. Lbox88
When you say the amps are mounted on top of the batteries, do you mean you built an amp rack above them? and have you checked all your connections to make sure they're tight all the way from HU to amps? 206xtreme
I made a wooden box to fit the batteries in it.I closed it on the top with wood also.I mounted both amps on the top. There was no problem for 6 months, but now when the bass vibrates the car both amps face the same problem. They stop working. When I steer violently or when my car hits on the road they start again. N8ball2013 got it I think. Can you please be more specific on this issue and how will I be able to face it? Thank you all guys! n8ball2013
you can try mounting your amp with rubber spacers. otherwise you might have to move it and hope its not damaged completely.
