Mr solo x 10 Posted November 25, 2011 Report Posted November 25, 2011 Looking to do a daily driving build that can do 150+ but wanted to do a minimum of 2 15's or 4 12's. I was thinking either 2 AudioQue HDC4 15's or 2 AA Mayhem 15's. This will be a trunk build in a 82 Cadillac coupe Deville around 7 cu ft to play with. As far as the amp goes. I was going to use either a Crescendo Audio BC5500 or a Stetson 4k5e. Still undecided with the enclosure but speakers will be facing the cabin (sealed to eliminate noise cancellation). Need some advice. Im trying to take advantage of the online Black Friday deals.
jakobebassbudds Posted November 25, 2011 Report Posted November 25, 2011 well im 0.6 db away from 150 on music in an extended cab s10 with 3 4k amps getting about 8k total with 3 12in dc xls and i peak at 27 hz so you will need to face them subs forward and seal off from trunk , its not impossible just hard with a trunk but gonna need some cone area, power, and good design and did i say cone area, power, and GOOD design . 2 12ks and i dont know what to do build in the works!
Hellbound Train Posted November 25, 2011 Report Posted November 25, 2011 enclosure design will play a large role as well as power and cone area. supplying your amplifiers with the power needed is also a must. both amp choices are sexy so choice depends on personal choice along with whatever will give you the most power at your voltage and ohm load.

CJ18 Posted November 25, 2011 Report Posted November 25, 2011 FI is made my Ascendant Audio. Building a 150 daily in a trunk is not easy to do. Take a look around the build logs at some of the trunks to get an idea what it takes.
