My ASUS P8Z68 doesn't have onboard video output either. What video card is it. My computer wouldn't run video out of the HDMI port of my 6950 until I installed drivers but ran out of DVI just fine and that's what I use for my main display anyhow. If the video card has VGA or DVI on it plug the card in and run the monitor off one of those at least until Windows and drivers are all set and going, then swap the output (if you're trying to use HDMI).

wtf is lolcats?

I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers.

I was hoping for 150 :(.

I was hoping she would let me put it in her butt

Take the card out, if you have some isopropol (sp?) alcohol put a small amount of that on a q-tip or a soft rag and clean the contacts on the video card where it seats in the board. Also try to blow out any dust if you have any compressed air.

Oh, I understood that. I also had replied before I saw it was the 9800GTX so i figured it was a silly HDMI issue.

Please tell me you have the 6-pin plugged in

yessssssssssss!! i cleaned the shit out of everything, reseated my video card like a mofo, and it POSTed! turn on my main monitor (the secondary one is black and says that windows isn't genuine) but i'm finishing the install!! uggggghhhh muh fukkin finally! i am so relieved. i guess cleaning and reseating is what did it although i couldn't tell you how often i took that card out. guess i just never put it back in the way i thought i did.

thanks so much for your help guys :) glad i didn't have to buy anything. although it's like 4 years old, it still plays games fairly well, although i am itching to update some things on it. now i can finish my calculator and homework and yay yay yay :drinks: for everyone
