DD-1 Makes Noises

Recommended Posts

now i am even more confused. Your video shows it sitting on top of what looks like a Behringer crossover, in teh dark, in your car.

like i said bro, make a video, start ALL OVER AGAIN, and show us, in the LIGHT what is going on. Take pictures and post them if you dont want to make another video. The problem is not clear at all and we cant blame the DD-1 yet. You may, of course, still send it in and we will test it though. :good:

Here you go my good sir!

I forgot to add that I checked the clip light with a friend's Oscope and that when I first got it - it worked just fine in my car. Now it does this no matter what. (I didn't drop it or anything. All my toys are treated quite well)

Try connecting the black wire from DD-1 to the (-) speaker terminal. Also try a -5 or -10dB track to see if the problem persists. What is your source unit? Are you using the supplied CD or has it been ripped?

It makes no difference whether I use the cd in a player, cd in my laptop, the ripped cd, or even my own generated some wave. And whether it is on the speaker terminal doesn't seem to make it change either

you should really try using this in a car, with 12v equipment. It can work with pro gear but i suspect you are not doing something right....we have yet to have a truly malfunctioning DD-1. So far, the only problem we have had, and its been only about 3 of 790 units, have been a few "overlay's" (with the buttons integrated) messing up......the other 99.5% of the issues have been user error and resolved by simply reading the instructions. :pardon:

even though it will work with pro equipment, we dont fully support that YET. Beside that, i have asked you few times to show us a better video of what is going on. Its still VERY unclear what you are doing.

try it in the car, with equipment made for a car and report back.

Will do. I am at school right now, but I should be able to do it and report back later this evening

I posted a video a couple posts ago =)

I just so happen to be watching this video, and at 2:25 it really sounds like the DD-1 makes a buzzing noise while its clipping.

nope but the amp sure did. If the DD-1 happens to do it (i have NEVER seen it do it), it really doesnt matter. It doesn't mean something is wrong with it.
