So what'd you do? You said it was your fault, care to share so none of the rest of us make the same mistake?

Pulled out the sub to refiberglass it, forgot to tape off the leads. Drove around for about 2 weeks with the leads just hanging in the back. Well they finally touched, and pop boom smoke. Such a noob mistake, and first amp I've blown. Atleast my gf's uncle is an electrical engineer so he's going to go through it with me. Family bonding and electrical engineering master knowledge, maybe blowing my amp wasnt too bad :)

What kind of subs are those? You've probably said a million times but I could never find the answer.

Ouch. Well, live and learn. At least you know now. Sorry for the hard lesson.

Bummer! At least it sounds like you will be able to fix it. That's a plus

Yup I better get it fixed or I'll buy a new one. They sell once in a while for around 150
