kryptonite
Nice, I like your alt hook up plate, I used a 3/8" stud soldered into a copper ring terminal to add more cable to the one stud which also worked good. When are the batts gonna be in for good? When are the batts gonna be in for good? thanks man...i went to run the wire and was like well fuck in dumb didnt even realize that would be an issue but its solved now...i havent gotten the powers run yet but the grounds are and the batts are in there im sick of moving those heavy fucks around making room for other shit i have going on. they are just sitting in the box for now not secured down or anything crazy like that but i got the grounds all run up into the bed and the hole for powers and all the outputs drilled and cut. i ran into some issue with running the wires because of the shit under the bed...there are these heavy duty ass supports under the bed and i didnt want to drill through those which lined up directly with the holes i previously made for the wire to in through so it fought me. then on the other side there is the gas fill spout in the way so i will end up running the outs from the batts through the front of the bed then through the back wall through these huge ass vents that come from the factory but i will have to get the bus bars in there connect all the 3 batts that are not a part of the bus bars because they sit sideways then get the powers run up in there and connect those. i did go out today and get some metal zip tie like things so that the power runs under the truck to the bed will be neat i can get all 6 together with that zip tie then screw the zip tie into the frame so its all up there for good and neat lol ill post some pics later tonight or in the morning i have to bounce right now and do some BS Nice progress! I love the look of a lot of power and ground cable. Especially when it's neat! lol i love the look of it too but the thought of all that bs being hidden and neat is a hard one lol soooo much wiring the amount of grounds alone (12) that come from the frame to the batts is disgusting honestly lol Contact us for the best quality cables and accessories with the fastest shipping in the industry EMAIL: [email protected]<script data-cfhash='f9e31' type="text/javascript"> /* */</script> LIKE US ON FB: https://www.facebook.com/SkyHighCarAudio ADD ME ON FB: https://www.facebook.com/jon.rabe.1 MONSTER SKY HIGH/DC GMC: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/127057-sky-high-monster-gmc-walk-through-12-lvl-5-15s-6-9ks-trim-panels-and-wiring-p-90/

scooter99
My only concern with that, is the OSB. That stuff is like a sponge! Be careful with it, maybe resin the hell out of it, if you haven't already. Just out of curiosity, why didn't you buy an in bed truck box or something like that? I know they can be pricey, but really, they are already pretty much set up for you, weatherproof, a good one is almost open proof if someone is trying to break into it anyway, and they have boxes that sit on the bed that are rail height and not sitting on the rails. It's my construction background is where I get this stuff from. I'd just hate for you to have to go through making it again cause it swells or rots apart. Especially with where you live! I know, dry in the summer but winters are terrible! Anyway, it is what it is, nice job getting it in there! Powa for the win! I know, dry in the summer but winters are terrible! Anyway, it is what it is, nice job getting it in there! Powa for the win! i did resin the hell out of it lol (i think theres a pic up of the resin drying) then put bed coater over the top of the resin lol i watched rain hit it yesterday and it held up well, the water sat up top of the bed lining then i took a towel and dried it to feel the wood and it was hard as a rock still so that made me feel better lol i had the same concern you did honestly i didnt know what would happen so a half gallon of resin and a half gallon of bed liner later i feel secure lol this morning the fucker is covered in snow and i went out there and took all the snow off and looked under the top to make sure it sealed and the inside is dry as ever so thats good lol the reason i didnt go with the construction thing, idk what exactly its called, if because i couldnt find one that would fit the batts right. like this box literally snugs up to the front wall and had to be 45'd to clear the front of the wheel wells and the batts still barely fit in there. on the front and back i had to use 1/2" wood to make it fit lol so moral of the story is i couldnt find one though that was my first thought as to how to accomplish getting all the batts back there unfortunately it didnt work ill live to see another day lol Contact us for the best quality cables and accessories with the fastest shipping in the industry EMAIL: [email protected]<script data-cfhash='f9e31' type="text/javascript"> /* */</script> LIKE US ON FB: https://www.facebook.com/SkyHighCarAudio ADD ME ON FB: https://www.facebook.com/jon.rabe.1 MONSTER SKY HIGH/DC GMC: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/127057-sky-high-monster-gmc-walk-through-12-lvl-5-15s-6-9ks-trim-panels-and-wiring-p-90/
