eltortuga94 Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 Is there like a minimum limit of strands your wire should consist of? because I have some leftover wires that my uncle gave me, they're 8 & 4 gauge welding wire & it has about 20 really thick strands & I was wondering if it would still be okay to use as wire for an amp or sub? As long the actual overall size of the wire is right, it should be fine. If it's true 4 and 8 gauge then it will be fine.
