nbshazeezee
I have an upgraded alt, and all my grounds are good. But i will be sitting at high voltage liek 14.4-14.5 and i wont have anything on. But my voltage will drop fro, 14.4 to 12.6 randomly while driving, and if i like turn knobs like the air conditioning it will jump back up to 14.4. Im using a stinger voltage meter by the way. Ram1989custom
My friends did this, it was just the voltage meter. Dont trust this answer as the only answer tho, could be anything. C-Fizzy
Depends on the car. Some computers inside the car will drop the voltage regulator in the alt for economic driving. nbshazeezee
I have a 2006 honda CRV, and i dont think i am shorting anywhere, but it does seem like the voltage regulator would do this, because as soon as i do something that demands more power it jumps back up Quote Ye dig, getting loud off little (2) AQ HDC3 12 AQ 2200D - Replaced it, Works great AQ4x90 JBL 662s 2 ways (2)XS 5100r under the hood & A 170amp alt

fox_racin4
IIRC nerwer hondas dont charge the batts unless they need to.. which is why voltage bounces back up when it sees a load..
