As the title states if I get a single DD 3500f 12 inch sub duel 2ohm coils and use my Hifonics BXi 1610D will I be under powering the sub? I am not going to change my amp so please don't recommend another type/brand. This question is posed to help me decide on the DD 3500 or DD 2500. Thanks. My Current Project: 2006 Ford Focus ST HU: Kenwood KDC-X986 Amps: Rockford Fosgate R300-4 Hifonics Brutus BXi 1601D Sub(s): (2) Skar VVX8 want to add 2x Mids/Highs: VXI65 components (front doors), RE Pro 5x7FR (rear doors) Wiring: Big 3 done in Candace 1/0 awg. 1 run from battery to distro-block 1/0 awg. fecupe2001 Posted December 21, 2011 Report Share Posted December 21, 2011 Go with the 3512 , i´ve tested DD a lot!!! believe it or not, they are very efficient subs, even the 9512 needs small power to get loud, i´ve tested the 2512 vs 3512 and the 3500 series get louder everytime, build a 2.7 cubic feet box and single 6" Aeroport with that amplifier and enjoy the power of DD hehe I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains.
