TheNewbie
Alright soooo, i got a MRP-1000 alpine amp to go along with a DC level three, It worked then stopped, worked then stopped, couldn't find the problem. Recently it stopped again, doesn't seem to go into protect and it went off when i turned the music down.. I assumed it was the wiring, so i bought 4 gauge Knu wires. Ran the whole setup got that in. Tried it again still isn't working.. I know it's not the woofer because i have another speaker i tried to hook up to it. I opened up the amp to see if i could see anything shorted couldn't see anything. Could anything else cause this? Going to pick up a DMM soon, if not tonight if someone would be willing to walk me through how to see if it's putting output. I also receieved a dd-1 wooohooo :)Thanks. TeamHT
Just so you know, almost ALL amps are stupid. They only do exactly what we tell them to do whether it is right or not. What is the voicecoil configuration of the sub? What is your ground like? Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

TheNewbie
What is solid...as in it is not moving anywhere? Yes, and the paint is scrapped off so it's just metal.
