I was wondering if with that motherboard, to run SLi could I buy 2 of these?;

I get confused with the x8 and the x16 PCIe stuff. On that mobo website it says get 2 identical PCIe x16 so would this work?

Single PCIe x16 will run at 16x speed, SLI mode enabled and the two cards will run x8 bandwidth on both.

Actually, two of those cards, the two will both run at x16 speed.

Yeah. Should be able to. ASUS Memory QVL says the 2GB model of that RAM is compatible, so I reckon the 1GB model should work.

personally instead of the sli dulux id try to find a different board.

Dont get me wrong that board is great, and I only use asus and dfi boards, but that board is old, but still good.

Id at least try to step up to a mobo with ddr2 memory.

Unless you currently got a socket 939 processor and dont plan on upgrading your processor.

But otherwise, yes that ram, and video cards will work with that mother board and give you a nice gaming rig :)

Well I thought about it and I dont want to go through the hassle of getting something that out dated and if something were to go wrong and I needed to return it and they didnt have any left then I would be screwed... So I am just going to get the 7950GT AGP (Last nvidia card made for AGP) 512mb GDDR3 memory with a little over 500Mhz core clock so it will be nice... 2 extra gigs on top of the gig I already have, Corsair XMS series of course, I wouldnt mind a new computer, but most of these things will keep me above water for the new games for a bit... Once that is done then this will be a FAST work computer hahaha.
