Chevyfan19 Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 im wanting to run 2 12' memphis c3 on a 2000 watt amp and was wondering if my car would be able to handle 2000 watts without a spare battery or anything. i drive a 2002 chevy impala. any info would be greatly appreciated

If you don't want to run a extra battery, change the battery under the hood and get a high output alternator from a company of your choice. Mad_Mike Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 From a quick google of your car, it looks like the 02 impala's alt is 105-125A output. You'll definitely need to upgrade to a HO, the amperage of that HO alt will depend on how much amperage the amp you have wants.
