str86diesel
if you don't have the power to make up for the lost back pressure, then No, I wouldn't do it. Quote 2k6 Dodge Ram 2500...CUMMINS POWERED - SOLD
BassJunkie
if you don't have the power to make up for the lost back pressure, then No, I wouldn't do it. So wait, does this mean that my stock exhaust makes my truck more powerful? I want an exhaust for my truck but I want it for fuel economy and power vs. sound even though I'd like a nice tune too. FieroGrande
performance on a van? It really doesnt matter to me. It only has a 3.3 L V6 EFI in it! And no I dont drive on any dirt roads. I just want it to sound better than what it does, and it prolly wont increase anything except the sound. Do you guys think it would gain better MPG? Gas Motors require a certain amount of back pressure (created by the exhaust system) to be able to run efficient. So by lowering the amount of back pressure, you change the characteristics of the motor. Whether it be the amount of fuel it burns (or lack there of), how much air it breaths in..etc. So when you start changing its characteristics, you have to make up for somewhere/somehow.
