If he did it at a show with a older style TL or AC mic that was cranked all the way up i can see where you might think he did that. That makes you a dont-know but a dont know who didnt know. No problem, we will show you the light. Once you look around the competition scene you will see what it takes to do a REAL 178. Concrete, 30k+ watts (to start with), 30-40 batterys, 2" BP glass, doors clamped shut, almost no interior (gutted, possibly made of wood and fiberglass) and barely drivable and that is from the trailor to the lane almost CERTAINLY not on the street. In other words an EXTREME car. Now your brothers paintjob is extreme (thats for sure LOL) , but not classified as an extreme spl vehicle. lets argue some more about this so you can lose. Your talking to people that have competed in 50 or more contests and have seen alot. Maybe you did see a 178 and THINK that was real but ill tell you right now it isnt. All i have to do is adjust my mic to some crazy level (k factor on a TL sensor) put my own show on, and i can have every kid in town doing a 170+.......it wont be "legit" but i can make em all think it is just like someone made you think it was. hell, Burrito doesnt compete at all (yet) and he knows that score is BS...... :D All you have to do is accompany somone to one REAL contest and you will know the difference even if you dont own a system.
