Purplehaze
Hey guys, can someone please tell me the EXACT size of a 12" DC Audio lvl 4 basket? I need to know the cut-out size AND the outer diameter size, so I can start working on a new baffle with subs flush mounted. skyhighcaraudio
id cut the whole at 10 7/8 and the outside at 13 to leave yourself an 1/8th of so for clearance on the flush mounts. then they can actually be taken out with a flat head lol Quote Contact us for the best quality cables and accessories with the fastest shipping in the industry EMAIL: [email protected]<script data-cfhash='f9e31' type="text/javascript"> /* */</script> LIKE US ON FB: https://www.facebook.com/SkyHighCarAudio ADD ME ON FB: https://www.facebook.com/jon.rabe.1 MONSTER SKY HIGH/DC GMC: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/127057-sky-high-monster-gmc-walk-through-12-lvl-5-15s-6-9ks-trim-panels-and-wiring-p-90/

Purplehaze
Paypal me some shippin money and u can have a basket I got layin around Hell yeah, thanks. Is it a DC basket? Cause I have a couple of 12" baskets, but they are from a CVR and a SoundStream, and I was just afraid that the DC basket would be a little different size. But yeah I'd love to have a spare DC basket, how much do you want to ship it? CJ18
All of the basket cutouts I have done have been 1/8" smaller than expected. The 10 7/8" sounds perfect to me. And 13" for the flush mount will give you enough room to be able to get the subs out.
Purplehaze
Okay CJ thanks! So if I want to leave room for possibly inverted mounting, should I go ahead and make it an 11in cutout?
