Have you ever been....

....happy to find out, you just had your head up your a$$ ;) and what you thought was going to be a $$$ issue, turns out to be nothing ?

Okay, well remember my dropping voltage ? (I asked, alt or bat ?) It was neither.

The only thing I can deduct, is that 2 X's ago, when I first got in my truck, my cab light was probably on for at least 2 to 4 days ! Truck still started, but barely, then it struggled when I started beating on the system. The reason it's hard to be sure, is that as soon as I hit my remote alarm, it opens my door, and turns on the cab light. I might not have noticed for a few minutes that it was staying on, then just reached up and killed it.

So, last night I go to take it for a short spin, and it acted fine. Tonight I went for a longer, higher speed cruise, and my $#!+ pounded ;) Volts took forever to drop to 14.0, from a high of 14.5 :)

Whooo Hooo !

Pounding into the new year :)

Peace,

Fish
