Help me build my first sound system.

Recommended Posts

I have never had a sound system before and I want to build my first system. I listen to Hard rock, heavy metal, and anything with extreme bass. I only want to spend around 350 on it. Here are somethings I have picked out and tell me of they will work together and if you know better deals in my price range tell me.

HeadUnit: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Pioneer-DXT-2369UB-Complete-Car/17242512

Subwoofers: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Boss-Audio-CX104DVC-CHAOS-EXXTREME-10-DVC-Subwoofer-Brushed-Injection-Cone-Double-Stacked-Magnets-Dual-4-Ohm-Voice-Coils-1200W/16829725?findingMethod=rr

Amp: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_33008_MB-Quart-FX1.600.html

I want to bridge TWO subs to that amp which i belive will make it 2 ohms and then the RMS will match.

i looked around on ebay and how does this setup look?

check out craigslist for some equiptment, you can sometimes find steals there, otherwise pick you up a single skar audio 12 or and SA-12 those will be louder than two boss subs, grab a decent amp, perhaps the one you already picked, remember wire is not cheap either knukonceptz has good cheap wire tho.

if i were you, i would stay away from boss car audio, for cheap subs that are fairly decent i would do this

http://www.audiosavings.com/products/12-Inch-Car-Subwoofer/Pair-of-Hifonics-HFX12D4-HF-Series-12-800-Watt-DVC-4-Ohm-Car-Subwoofers-Bundle/%282%29+HFX12D4.aspx

One of the best subs on a budget, look into those for the price, you will damn need push them full tilt, in the right enclosure they will meet your demands.

try and up it to 500!then go with

Skar vvx12, Sundown sa12, or Alpine type r 12 (Dual 4ohm)

just use the amp you had picked out

KnuKonceptz cca would prolly be alright for you

A cheap alpine or pioneer headunit with parametric eq

A set of 6.5 components with high sensitivity to run off the headunit if your not running a speaker amp.

All that can be found in classifieds at very reasonable prices. My first system was decent but i wanted more and ended up losing money by selling it to pay for my better system. Do it right the first time! :drinks::santa:

PSI and Sundown audio FTW!! 2001 F150 crewcab Sundown z12v.2 on a sax1200d! 1/0 welding wire!
