i have a 1995 Honda passport with a sunroof from the factory it is 1 of those cheap spin knob types. i have tried to fix it but it just keeps breaking...i would love to keep the glass but am unsure if there is a way ...i have contemplated sealing it with resin but if it lets go im screwed...lol next option is to weld a sheet of steal in place of the glass...i also plain on rhino lining my roof soon as well and not sure if it willl stick to the glass...lol any idea's or input would be great cause i have no experience with this type of thing yet

If you want to keep your glass, go to your local auto glass shop and ask for a tube of windshield adhisive. That way you can keep the glass and it will be sealed. That is what I am planning to do with my back quater windows of my truck.

Edite: I would rhino line the roof first.

you'd have to prep around it really well in order to get the adhesive to stick and hold. Not to mention, they probably won't just give you a tube depending on what adhesive they use. If you don't plan on using it, Id weld a piece of steel in.

im in pretty good with my glass company i break ALOT of windows...lol i may have them prep and glue it for now and get someone to weld steal in b4 i get my roof rhino lined but i know steal is defiantly the way to go in the long run its just finding some1 good to do it and coughing up the cash...lol

My local autoglass shop sells the adhesive they use to the public for thoes who want to do it them selves. It's about $25 a tube.

Steal would handle the bass better then the glass.
