Need help with a propane soldering iron.

Recommended Posts

So i was wondering, how you get propane into them? Is there a certain type of tank or fitting i would need? Mine has what would appear to be a 1/8" threaded female piece in the end of it. Any help is appreciated :D

i would imagine a normal butane refill can is all you need. it's all i need for mine. Just go to a tabacco store and get a refill kit from there, should work fine.

honestly ive never heard of a propane soldering iron.

butane is very common. and you can go to pretty much any tobacco store and get butane fuel.

if you do need a certain adapter on the bottle then id try lowes or a electrician store. they may have specific butane refills
