SnowDrifter Posted January 8, 2012 Report Posted January 8, 2012 How do you guys get the remnants of the spiders out? Mine have been soaking in acetone for a half hour to dissolve the CA glue, but I can still pick up the sub by the spiders. The sub is in my sig The only power tools I have access to are a drill w/ wire brush Pic of said sub: ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

fmedina Posted January 8, 2012 Report Posted January 8, 2012 Cut as much as you can off or use a heat gun and grind off the rest with angle grinder. Maybe a dremel will work too with the right bit.
tlee2 Posted January 8, 2012 Report Posted January 8, 2012 cut the spider out as much as you can then get a flat head scewdriver or chisel and hammer the ca glue off it will come off easy like that. Then sand the rest off with a grinder or dremel 6 Sundown X 15s 2 Sundown NS1 V2s C Pillar 4th order Bagged Suburban on 24s http://youtube.com/tlee333

FroznBeavrBALLs Posted January 9, 2012 Report Posted January 9, 2012 i used a box cutter and once you get underneath the spider it comes right up. Its gonna hurt your hands, probably, but it pretty much gets the whole thing off. Worked like a charm for me. lol 2 DC 12" lvl 4s 1 DC 1.2k XS Power S3400 big 3 Alll KNU wire Pioneer HU cheapo Legacy coaxes (just for now) http://www.stevemead...n-sentra-build/
