why not buy 2 FI SSD12 it will only cost you a bit more of the 4 12 and can fit in with a 5 cubes and ported box

Edit: what i came to learn in car audio is not to go with a budget since you will always spend more that way, we all say we only want to spend $140 for a sub then after a while its not enough so you go buy another one at $200, why not buy the $200 sub and save the $140, if you dont have the cash to spand $400 on 2 you can always buy one then get the other one when you are ready. its just me because now i have 4 15L7 1 brz 2400 and a bxi that is rated at 2600 wrms that are just collecting dust and just that set me back $1630 when i could have used that with my current set up

x2

But if you got the cash and just want to say fuck it then get a bunch of 8's or 4 10's don't try to fit 4 12's in there, you don't really have the airspace for it. 4 10's might even push it depending on what you get. What kind of power are you looking at too? at what ohm load?

I have a 1400 watt amp at 2 ohms rms and a 700 x 1 at 2 ohms so witch ever one will work the best

If we still wants to put (4) 12's............would he be able to use the Rockford shallow subs with the bit of air space available ????????

Actually that's what I'm runnin now is a 12" rf p3sd212, sounds ok but I like the sound of a conventional woofer better.

Meh, I would go for 2 12's, spent the last half hour looking and if you do 4 10's, you would be squeezed for airspace, 4 8's would have plenty of room. You can see cone area differences HERE. I would go with 2 Fi SSD, Skar VVX, Sundown SA, DC LVL 3's (pick up used maybe), the usual good choices. pardon.gif

thanx for that link. yea i guess i could go that way. after lookin at them, i like the fi's and dc's. with fi im wondering how much better are the ssd's than the x's? the x's are more in my budget cuz im going to build this in steps. with the dc lvl 3's, where can i find used ones and how much r recones?

Well, with 12's you have more cone area than 1 15, and more power handling if you get the same kind which leaves you room to upgrade amps later. Also depends on budget. If you did 2 12" single 2 ohm Fi X's you'd be looking at only 800rms @ $238, 2 12" D1 Fi SSD's 2krms @ $408, and one 15" D2 Fi Q 1500rms @ $304.
