Tblazer15 Posted January 10, 2012 Report Posted January 10, 2012 I got a reverse Camara a couple days ago I ran power and ground to my deck it's a pioneer avh4200 it has a purple wire saying reverse Camara trigger so I put the power from my reverse wire to it and ground it to the decks ground and the video cable to the video in and it do not work I took it off and I have a 12 volt connection to the wall and tried it on my tv and it worked.. Any help am I doing something wrong ? Thanx guys
Team_DC-Derrick Posted January 10, 2012 Report Posted January 10, 2012 could just splice into the reverse taillight for power wire, there were 3 wires for my buddys car, when i did his... and it was a green wire.. not the red power wire... i hope that helps... bkolfo4 Posted January 10, 2012 Report Posted January 10, 2012 I am not 100% clear what you are saying above, but: The deck does not power the camera - that is just an input to switch the deck to the camera screen when the car is in reverse. Wire the power wire of the camera and the input to the deck to your reverse lights. The ground is fine shared with the deck. Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz.
