Cynner
Hi Guys, I'm looking for a hand building a custom 4th order box for my ute. If you see the image below this will explain why I need this type of box. I really dont have much of a choice as I am extremely limited in space. And I mean, extremely. This is the idea of the box, It's really the only option I have unless you guys can think of something else. I have a maximum port space of 10" high by 10" wide and as deep as needed. The maximum box size I can run is 17" high 40" wide and 40" deep. Here is the type of ute it's going into, Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not an out of control driver, I'm completely in control.. only sideways.. -Nissan R32GTR running 213KW RB20DET on 14lbs of boost. -Holden Commodore VY SS UTE running stock. -Holden Rodeo mini truck project, soon to be running SR20 on 13lbs of boost. -Landcruiser UTE running 1UZFE v8 11" Lift on 35" MT Classic II's wrapped in Cooper STTs. ^^ and the list goes on.. AmericanLegend
That is one cool car lol. Your bandpass idea is a great one. I built my first box like that recently and even I was suprised at how well it turned out. You will need a program to crunch the numbers, but it looks good. Cynner
Hi Guys, Yes it's similar to an El Camino, I'm orginally from the states but living in Australia.. I found them a bit weird as well at first but anyway. It's a good ute. So the subs are kicker 15" L7's. I'm running each of them on 1,250wRMS so 2500wRMS total. Need it to be loud and good quality bass. I have a smaller 2010 hatch with a 152DB walled system but that is just a huge ported box. Less space, and the fact I need a blow through I'm unsure how to calculate it. Here's the specs of the subwoofers. -------------------------------------------------------------- Model Solo-Baric L7 15 Size (IN.,CM) 15, 38.1 Impedance (OHMS) 2 or 4 DVC Max Rec Amplifier Power (WATTS PEAK/RMS)* 2000/1000 Sensitivity (dB 1w/1m) 89.4 Frequency Response (Hz) 18-100 Mounting Depth (IN.,CM) 8-11/16, 22.1 Mounting Cutout, Square (IN.,CM) 13-3/4, 34.9 Min Rec Sealed Box Volume (CU. FT., Liters) 1.5, 42.5 Max Rec Sealed Box Volume (CU. FT., Liters) 6.0, 169.9 Min Rec Vented Box Volume (CU. Ft., Liters)** 3.0, 85.0 Max Rec Vented Box Volume (CU. Ft., Liters)** 6.0, 169 -------------------------------------------------------------- Any help would be great + cash your way if needed. Cheers, Dylan. 99fullsizechevy
I've always wanted one of these!!!! But it would end up being like 80-100k to get one back here.. Wouldn't be hard to do a swap from a wrecked gto to make it left hand drive.. Cuz arent the right hand drive? Laying frame soon.. System has to wait

Wouldn't be hard to do a swap from a wrecked gto to make it left hand drive.. Cuz arent the right hand drive? Yeah these are right hand. You can pick them up for 15 - 20k AUD. For the newer VE models they are up well into the 50-60k range. It would cost a bit to get over. If I ever end up moving back to the states I'll be taking my ute and my R32 GTR over. Both are extremely common here!
