Kush Killer Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 running a saz 3000d @ .5OHM NOM TO 4 SA8 D4'S, HAVE A DC POWER XP270 ALT WITH 2 AGM G31 BATTERYS, JSUT GOT SYSTEM HOOKE UP AND 2 TIMES NOW AMP HAS GON INTO PROTECTION.. MY VOLTS HAVE NEVER DROPPED BELOW 13.8 TYPICAL STAYS IN LOW 14.XX SITS @ 15.0 AT IDLE. FIRST I THOUGHT VOLTS WER DROPPING TO LOW BUT THATS WASNT IT. SO NOW I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO LOOK TO RECTIFIY THIS PROB? ............................................
C-Fizzy Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 You said .5 ohm nominal. What's the ohm load sit at right now? Could have a blown coil causing the amp to protect. under construction I hate People with crappy primered cars rolling on hubcaps that are louder then me. u hate c-fizzy?

Mad_Mike Posted January 14, 2012 Report Posted January 14, 2012 It is very annoying when you break the caps lock key. Please don't do that.... I've heard many say that amp will run at .5 ohm all day, so one of your subs might have a hot spot on the coil heating up. It could also just be one of "those amps" that can't handle the .5. See if sundown will let you trade it.
