RCP Audio Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 I currently have a soundstream 1200d (stealth series). I'm running at 2 ohms with next to no voltage drop at full tilt. I drop to 13.9 if i push it just to see if it drops at idle. If I was to get new subs and wire at 1 ohm. How much more electrical will I need? I currently have the big 3 done in 2gauge but that will be upgraded to 0/1. I have a single 4gauge pos run from front to back for sub amp. And my ground is straight to the frame. I have a 70amp alt and stock bat. Would I be okay if I got an extra bat and a 0gauge run front to back? I'm on mobile so can't post link to why the amp puts out but I know it's easy to find on the net. The higher the more amperage it pulls, this is what I look at. Real96SS Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 I would say a good battery under the hood and upgrading to 1/0 where possible would be good enough.As for the batteries you pick what suits your needs and price range.Just get the biggest battery you can fit under the hood and in your budget.Honestly you wont be able to tell the difference with your system between a XS, Kinetik, or any other brand.
