Think it was $700 shipped each sub considering they weight about almost 100lbs coming in a crate. And the comp set was like $400. Still need to buy one more set and a 300 amp alternator. Having no luck finding a place that makes one. My engine compartment only will let me have one alternator which sucks. The subs are 12's And very heavy.

Well all the forums I've been on no one has tuned these 2006 model that high. So i wanted to do something a bit different of course I'm going to make a test box before making my real expensive and time consuming box. My idea for the real box thats going into the car is going to have a fiberglass front plate. 1" plexiglass in the back so you see the subs of course, Also thinking about rounding each corner inside the box then covering it with silver carbon fiber inside the box and vacuum bagging it! And putting some 2" plexiglass rods with led lights in it for support rods. Tell me what ya think Jeff.
Decaf Posted December 1, 2007 Report Posted December 1, 2007 you have some great ideas man. love the plexi support rods with leds.... sweet idea to allude to my previous question.... that xxx will sound great almost no matter what but it has a fs of 21! tune a bit lower to extend response and lower how peaky it could/might get.... its not much but it definately smooths the rolloff a bit... if you tune to 34, you could go about 9 hz lower before reaching f3 and drop your peak down about 2 dbs.... either way.... wow but im watching this build.... if i had the money id be doing something close to this with xxx and zapco beautiful!!
