8MileRoad
My current Setup is really loud but only on high bass (42hz and up) I have all settings correct but the low bass is just kinda punchy and not flexing or anything Ok this is in no way a box for spl numbers i just want a box loud n low so music wise... i listen to decaf zips,dj slow n throw, splwgen and some big pimpin not a fan of C&S. so would be my ideal tuning frequency be also... i like some unmodified songs, so i don't want to tune very low just above 30 below 35 big question is i want to sell the 4 12's and get some good dc 12's and tune low will it be as loud or louder ... the 2 sealed boxes hit 122.7 in the trunk Edited January 14, 2012 by 8MileRoad
mattc3366
I personally would go with the two ported. Just make sure you have enough room to fit a box to specs. And what subs do you currently have? Quote subwoofers - two eclipse 88120s box - 3.4 cubes tuned to 32 hz amps - aq1200 and pheonix gold zx450 New build : 2 obsidian audio 15s same amp 6.1 cubic foot box tuned to 32 hz in a civic hatch
carshateme
I had 4 sealed. It got pretty pretty dang loud...but then I downgrade to a ported box and 3 ported. It went from 126.7dBs to 147.4dBs. Porting a box is really insane if you know what you are doing. *Your box controls 70% of your SQ. Quote New build coming soon.
