I just doubt the deck goes to full volume without distorting the built in amp. Just looking out for you man. This is a great build! I'd hate to see you mess something up I kinda knew the stock speakers started to distort at like 57/62, so I set the gain at 55 but im thinkin about lowing it again cause i heard my door speakers bottoming out a lil. baaudio Posted February 18, 2012 Report Share Posted February 18, 2012 Just make all your settings flat and put the neg on the dd1 to the radio chassis and positive into a pos speaker output and check for distortion with the 1k Hz 0 db tone. Took out the interior trunk peices and moved the box forward. Sounds better and seems to rattle less on the inside and outside.
