MECHMAN
Last weekend the Mechman Jeep had to pull a full-size Blazer up a muddy obstacle. Temps in the 20's, wet ground don't make for a lot of fun when you are stuck, but the 14v batteries with the 270a Mechman alternator power this Smittybilt 8k winch quite well. Check out the video to see what this is all about- <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/-UaN6RAOGuQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> http://youtu.be/-UaN6RAOGuQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UaN6RAOGuQ&list=UUJjdch1py9Moz126daEkBGg&index=1&feature=plcp So who here wants 14v power? MECHMAN
14v will work with most OEM just fine, it's the aftermarket components that don't like it. Quote 1-888-MECHMAN www.Mechman.com [email protected]

But sick video, thats a string electrical and winch! I have 4 vehicles: 1993 Ford Mustang (Drag car) 1989 Chevy pickup w/ 92 corvette LT1 swapped into it 1999 Chevy Silverado 6.0L 1997 Jeep Wrangler 4.0L (soon to be 5.3L chevy powered) All four of them run perfectly at 16.8 volts daily w/ 14 volt batteries. The only issue I have had with any of them is that the 97 jeep "check gauges" light comes on in the dash.

MECHMAN
You would need an aftermarket alternator with adjustable voltage in order to run 14v. Quote 1-888-MECHMAN www.Mechman.com [email protected]
