I am neither, but I still understand the risk of affiliating this site with downloading free music. Stop beating the horse, the decision has been made. If you do not have explicit consent of the artist you are not to post any download links. Youtube links are fine. If you have permission to use the song that is ok too. I will expect all individuals to follow this. The suspensions for breaking this rule are going to be far stiffer than any others handed out. You will get one warning and thats it. After that you will no longer be a member of the SMD community. If you have any questions regarding this feel free to pm me. It should be self explanatory. Posting links and hosting links like that will not cause Steve and any member of this forum to go. They attack the ISP's ( try to, which does not work ) or the DNS of the sites that HOLD the links to the torrents or files. They are after the hosting sites. Im a network administrator with my Security + and my CCEA and CCNP. Not to mention my good friend is a lawyer from University of Dayton with his major being Intellectual property . It obviously is your opinion, however you are wrong to think that anything ( at this point in time ) would possibly happen to anyone on these forums. With that being said, enjoy irc.com or kat.ph inside google. Neither of these are direct links to music. Not to downplay your career and certifications and such, but N8 also does this for a living and also knows his way around the 'tubes. If they decided not to allow links to chopped/screwed/edited/remixed music, then that's that. He said YouTube's fine, so you could easily post the video link and have the download link in the description of the video if YouTube allows it. I can understand the moderators' and admins' points of view on this. If there's links to stuff here, regardless of whether it's hosted here, and someone who wants to make a hassle out of it decides to, well that situation just wouldn't be worth it for the people who own and operate this site. It's just a foresight on their part to avoid potential issues later. They may not have ground to take the site down but why bother with it in the first place if you can just post YouTube links instead of RapidShare/MediaFire/[insert hosting service here] links. wtf is lolcats? I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers. I was hoping for 150 . I clearly stated that it was their opinion and I just wanted to "clear the air" with the facts. I have no clue why you're telling me this??? Seems pointless. Cool, Im glad you read my previous post because I already stated the next bill to worry about is the one being label as "Child Porn". The Cispa will not pass, not even worried about it. Its not even remotely backed like Sopa was.
