LT.Smoke
Hey everyone i need someone to help me. I have a system in my car which is posted as part of my signature so i dont have to explain all the details. I want to know is there anyway i can gain a db or 2 with what i have. Is there any box design that will be louder than the Slot Port that i have now? Also if i was to get a box that fits better would firing the port backward make a difference or what direction should i fire the sub and the port. My amp does 1000 RMS. If anyone can get a hold of Steve Meade and ask him what kind of amp his buddy cory had running his 2 MTX 9515's that would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks for anyone that provides input to help me Quote Team MaxRetribution Si Vis Pacem Parabellum Id rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6 Bowhunting- Life Begins and Ends at Full Draw Bowhunting Team Fatal Trajectory Hunt Team http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/49335-sick96vtecaccords-t-line-build/?hl=sick96vtecaccord << Accord Build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/68498-smokedout08impalas-tline-build/?hl=+sick96vtecaccord << Impala T-line build Rebassed.com for all your music needs 👌
zaxfire69
I have always found that the sub and port back in a trunk car sounded so much better and got louder than having the port forward..Some people will argue with me, but I think that the port back is louder...Turn your box around, get about the same width in between your back of your trunk and your speaker box as the width of your port..For instance you have a 4 inch port, put your box no less than 4 inchs from the back of your trunk..Try it an see what that sounds like. Play with it till you like how it sounds...
gotFI?
its hard to say about the box changes. you would get maybe 1 db gain if you doubled your power. hope this helps.
Decaf
ive found that unless you seal off the trunk of fire sub forward port forward, sub back port back sounded soooo much better, the lows seem to come from no where ive tried every direction with my re se's and sub back port back was definatley the best sounding and loudest but in spl gain..... maybe 1 or 2 db's with all the nice equipment you have... have you sound deadened? cmrs2k
possibly try higher tuning? SPL goals only, probably not a good idea for daily listening.

Decaf
bro you got a nice sub and ive heard the 9500 do 144.x on tl in a trunk car.... sounded good and was looud take em out of the "sledgehammer" boxes and they sound great
LT.Smoke
Its not in the sledgehammer enclosure its in an Audio enhancers Slot Port and i mean i love the box and everything but its just to tall it wont fit in there so i can fire the sub and port back right now the sub and port are shooting straight into the trunk lid and im sure that is hurting my spl scores some Quote Team MaxRetribution Si Vis Pacem Parabellum Id rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6 Bowhunting- Life Begins and Ends at Full Draw Bowhunting Team Fatal Trajectory Hunt Team http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/49335-sick96vtecaccords-t-line-build/?hl=sick96vtecaccord << Accord Build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/68498-smokedout08impalas-tline-build/?hl=+sick96vtecaccord << Impala T-line build Rebassed.com for all your music needs 👌
