Autruche
Wire each set of 3 like so: http://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchfield.com/ca/learningcenter/car/subwoofer_wiring/3-SVC-2-ohm-2-ch.jpg it will come out to 8 ohms using 3 2.7 ohm speakers. and not so much power from the amp at 8ohms....right? That's 8 ohms bridged. That means each channel will see 4 ohms, so about 160 watts of output when bridged at 8 ohms. Being that it will be 3 drivers per set it means each driver will see about 50 watts. Plenty of power for them to get loud. I'll PM you later about how to wire them up in more detail, when I'm not so busy. Need Test Tones/Sine Waves? carshateme
Sell the stuff you bought and get PA mids and supertweeters if you want to get loud. Running active will NOT magically make things louder, it just gives you more options for xover points/slopes. I have 1 PB6.5 per door and 2 $10 vifa tweets in each A-pillar and they will make my ears ring after 1-2 songs. All running off a single Helix 4x60 amp... I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to sell his stuff...after doing all that work on his truck...shit's not easy. New build coming soon. I heard a set up last year with 8 Alpine Type S comp sets in each door. No idea on the power he was running, but 16 mids/tweets and it still wasn't very loud or impressive. I was 2-3x louder with 8 $20 PE PA mids and 4 Pyle bullets. And it sounded a LOT better. I just hate to see the guy go through all this trouble and not be happy with the end result

carshateme
Idk man, that's kinda loud lol. I mean, it's not the loudest I have heard. *Image Dynamics* but...that's pretty dang good IMO. If you can hear your mid range and your treble over your subwoofers, it's more than enough once again IMO. New build coming soon. mlstrass
So are you saying that 3 sets of comps won't keep up with 144dB's of bass? I have a single Powerbass 6.5 (PA mid) in each door and 2 Vifa tweets in each A-pillar and it keeps up with a 47-48 on music no problem.
