momofx76 Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 I just updated my stereo system in my XB and I noticed that my in-car voltage meter drops to 11.9V at about 70% bass volume WHILE driving (rpms at approx. 2000rpm is when I noticed it). I already have a 15 Farad Stinger Cap installed so do you guys think I should install a bigger Cap or ditch the whole cap idea and just get a bigger alternator?

momofx76 Posted April 3, 2012 Author Report Posted April 3, 2012 UPDATE : I found this very hard to believe buuuut, the culprit of the voltage drop, headlight dimming alot, etc. was a damn Tsunami 140A breaker that I used instead of the regular big fuse! I discovered this by mistake lol and my small system is running like a champ now! The headlight still dim but very slightly - a day and night difference compared to how it use to be! I will never ever use an electronic breaker again!!!!
