Lbox88
Also test from alt positive to engine block to make sue alt ground is good. If higher than what you measure across battery, check connections. UBL | Build Log
bre2ts
I only had D3100 for couple of months in my car. So what you saying is my battery got damaged along with an alternator? Yesterday, my voltage went up to 13.9, but doesn't go to 14v anymore. Youre battery could be damaged, by not maintaining a certain voltage the batteries cells can begin to die. Your battery needs to be put on a charger as soon as possible to prevent any damage to the battery. If your battery voltage drops that low after the charge then you may be looking at a dead/damaged cell Feedback 1 | Feedback 2 you win some, you lose some
LoudBimmer
The thing is, before taking my car to the shop, everything was working fine. It stayed there for 2 days and when I picked it up, that when the problem started.
LoudBimmer
I will take the battery out tomorrow and put it on the charger. But again, the battery was fully charged over night with proper agm charger.

Lbox88
Since you had it into the shop and they were checking out the front suspension, they might have messed with a ground on a strut tower? if it used to snap back to 14V but no long does, I would check all connections up front first. n8ball2013
i doubt they could have damaged it any worse than you did in the two days. but its why i pull fuses before any work is done. LoudBimmer
How would I know if battery is dead? Yesterday when I checked it, it was at 12.5 with interior lights on. I going to disconect battery today and check it without any load on it

LoudBimmer
Little update Checked the charging voltage upfront and it came out to be 14v, so is in the back. However, the battery is sitting @ 12.5v. So I took it out and put it on the charger. I did little test where I turned the car on and disconnected the battery. Voltage was slowly dropping below 13v. Now, I put my kinetik hc1800 in for now and even with good battery it's around 12.2v with car off and key turned to first click.
