D3100 or xp 3000

Ok like it says I'm looking to get some new batts. I know about the xp group buy coming up. I see the max amp is 2000 down from the d31000. Just don't know what batts to get! Will save money if I get the xp. But will they hold up??? Looking at getting 4 or 5 I have two dc alts now ( 270sp & 250sp) will be adding another later. Amp is Dc 7.5 (1) but will be getting one more soon.. What do u guys think.. Will the xp be good for me?? thanks

Yes it will, but you'll still need a d/s series for under the hood. The xp is designed to be a supplemental battery not a starting battery.

I've got two c&d batts under the hood now.. Will they be ok to run with the xp in the bank in back??

I just got off the phone with XS and they said I should be good to go as long as the c&d hold a charge... =] and they are telling me with playing music the xp are the way to go... THANKS GUYS

The XP Series was designed and manufactured for use as a secondary/supplemental power source. They are designed for high capacity installations, so if you need a battery to add some capacity for your system then this is the answer! What is the difference between the D/S series and the XP Series. For competitions the D/S series batteries are able to provide more instantaneous power, but for ground pounding and daily use the XP Series is the way to go. The XP Series is not designed to be used in under the hood applications, but work great for any battery bank in the back.
