SQMonte
Gonna be running a pair of 3512's in my trunk off a Soundstream 2500 and trying to figure out what size box to run. I'm tuning to 34Hz but need help deciding on volume....right now i'm leaning towards 4.5cu.ft. Suggestions? Not gonna be competing, this is just for daily. IH8PunkRok
seems right to me. mine is in 2.5 cubes and it has issues with some really low notes. then again it is on 2k by itself so you shouldnt have issues Quote -Matt2005 Dodge Magnum RTJVC KD-AVX1 2 PPI S580.2 Obsidian Audio ST1 Horn Tweeters PRV 8MB450s Audio Legion 3500.1D 2 RE MT 18s 360 ah LiFePO4 BatterySHCA 2/0 155.2 @ 29 hzKicker CVR 15's buildDD 3512e buildMini T-Line Build(6) 8s BuildNightshade 15s Wall BuildMagnum AB XFL 12s BuildNewest Magnum Build

SQMonte
I had a 2512 in a 2.25cu.ft. box tuned to 34hz on 1500rms and it banged! I had heard some crazy big box recommendations and just wanted to be sure I'd be ok. Oh yeah, just using a single 6" aero, still good? Joe X
A 6 aero is 28,274 sq.in. in the spec above says 40. And they are aiming at about 40Hz tuning with their port specs. If you double the volume you need to double the PA as well. So really short on port area. Edited January 25, 2012 by Joe X
SQMonte
But thats also slot port specs, not aero, doesnt that change things? Sergeant_Skyrim
But thats also slot port specs, not aero, doesnt that change things? Yeah if I'm remembering correctly slotted is 12-16 suggested while aero is about 9-11 suggested since a round port is more efficient Quote Build in progress
Joe X
Well, if you are right then 40/2.5 = 16, the maximum for slots, 13 is the maximum for aeros so 2.5 x 13 = 32.5. If you are willing to compromise a single 6 aero will do for one sub so two ports for 2 subs would be minimum. which leads to 45.9 in long each to get to 34Hz! A slot port based design would be better for this design. if you have the space.
SQMonte
Damn....Gonna have to check the port mach and see what it says.....I hella want to use an aero but not if its gonna sound like ass Quote Alpine CDA-117...Memphis 16-X03 CDT Audio SQA-4100...SEAS Prestige H1396...Crescendo MP-6 Soundstream Rubicon 1.2500d...Digital Designs 3512f
