is this amp any good? not really finding any reviews on the thing. just considering it because of how 'inexpensive' it is. i'm worried about heat-related issues.

No.

And you get what you pay for, please don't try to take the cheap way out when it comes to buying car audio equipment. Take a look at Crescendo's new line of BC amplifiers and as far as subwoofers check out dc, sundown, ssa, ascendant, fi, and digital designs.

my little brother has this amp with 3 kicker CVRs

Brutus Series Monoblock Class D Car Amplifier

RMS Power Rating (@ 14.4V):

4 ohms: 600 watts x 1 chan.

2 ohms: 1200 watts x 1 chan.

1 ohm: 1700 watts x 1 chan.

MOSFET power supply

CEA-2006 compliant amplifier

4 gauge power inputs and no hint of fuse sizing. I wouldn't even use it as a paperweight. And every setup with a Power Acoustik amp I've ever heard sounded like crap.
