Justscrap Posted January 27, 2012 Report Posted January 27, 2012 Wassup fellas? I was wondering if there is anyone on here to help me with a box design for 2 fosgate T2 15s. The subs will be ran off a fosgate T2500.1bd. Subs will be going into a 1994 chevy silverado ext. Cab truck and have the whole ext. Cab part of the truck for air space,but would like to stay below the rear window line so with that said,I have height21"x depth22" x 45" length(width)=10.06 cubes if I did that right...as for tuning I would like a loud box that can get low and hit hard but still be able to put up gd numbers in the lanes. I will be changing out my subs later but for now I wanna build a new box for the T2s. Thx for all your help and opinions fellas! if you put a DD-1 in your amp terminal and it immediately went up in smoke, i would be concerned. If you shoved your dick in the terminal and it didn't blow up but a month later it blew up, i STILL WOULDN'T be able to blame your dick. It just does not make sense at all.
alaskanzx5 Posted January 28, 2012 Report Posted January 28, 2012 38hz is recomended for those subs by rockford as far as tunning the box goes. if you tune it right around 36-37 hz you should be able to get low and still put out decent scores t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

Enclosure Specifications: Fb = 36 Hz Vb = 5,5 ft^3 Subwoofer Mounting = Flush Mounted External Height = 22 in External Width = 33,37 in External Depth = 21 in Port Width = 4 1/4 in Cut List: * All Dimensions in Inches. * Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts. External Enclosure Parts: Front = 28 3/8 x 20 1/2 Front Internal = 27 5/8 x 20 1/2 Back = 33 3/8 x 20 1/2 Left & Right Sides: Side 1 = 19 1/2 x 20 1/2 Side 2 = 18 3/4 x 20 1/2 Top & Bottom = 33 3/8 x 21 L Port Internal Assembly Parts: Front to Back = 15 1/4 x 20 1/2 Extension = 2 1/8 x 20 1/2 Dimensions can be changed to your likings within some limits. According to RF enclosure specs are as follows: Vb = 2.75 cubic feet per sub. (a much larger enclosure can lead to lesser power handling). Fb = 36Hz Driver displacement is 0.176 cubic feet per sub. I am giving an efficient port area scoring: Port Area/Vb = 15.841 Let me know any quesions or comments.
