wheres the flex at Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 Okay I've got rid of my 4 gauge and bought some Stinger 1/0, the area where I had the 4 gauge running was already tight and I can't get the 1/0 through there. My question is would it be a good idea to run it under the truck and secure it with insulated metal hose clamps, or to drill a hole in the firewall and buy one of them Stinger Firewall gromments? BFF Larry Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 which every would be easier for you to do, would be the best bey. if you run it underneath the truck, get some pvc pipes and run it along the frame of the truck. just make sure its out of the way so that you can still put the truck on a lift. use a larger diameter pvc pipe so that you can run more 1/0 in the future. Using grommets where grommets are needed and not crossing obstacles (hot exhausts, sharp objects, etc) that could lead to a short down the road. Trunk Build Log
