My amp gains and everything are perfect, just want to be able to turn them down and not hear all the bass sometimes. When I have the bass knob all the way on max, does that overrride my gain settings and turn my amp up higher than it should be, or does it just allow my amp to play up to but no more than my gain settings? Anything helpps, thanks! baaudio Posted February 2, 2012 Report Share Posted February 2, 2012 What I prefer is to use a PAC LC-1 it's a line level bass knob. Basically it interrupts the RCA signal. Therefore it will not cause any distortion by overriding your gains. Ive also noticed an increase in output using this instead. Bust out the DD1....I'd do the gains again i agree with this guy ^, the knob most of the time should never be turned up full tilt, the amp can, but after a certain point its just distortion, unless everything is set perfectly...
