replace tinsel leads.

Recommended Posts

My tinsel leads did the same on my SMD. The sub never got hot and only bottomed out 2 times throughout the entire time i used it which was because the damn remote knob on my 3sixty.2 has problems where the volume will out of nowhere go full tilt and back to where i set the knob so im going to remove the knob when i reinstall the system in 2 years. It too burnt 2 leads (1 per coil) and was on its way to burning a 3rd lead but the sub quit out before it got too far into that. I know it was clipping a few times with how the bass would fluctuate with that bass knob so i admit it was user error with that god damn bass knob. Id recone it like im doing to my SMD and set your gains to a -5db or if you want the best a 0db tone and set the freq on the amp correctly. I am still learning other things that may have caused my leads to burn and break like they did but im sure clipping and those few times it bottomed out didnt help any.
