2 10s or 1 12?

hi, i have two ten type rs in a prefab sealed enclosure and my buddie has a single 12 type r in a nice ported enclosure i built a year or so back, heres the deal i can trade my tens for his and 60 bucks what would you do? it really dosent matter to me much as either way i go its just a temporary system in my dd truck until i get my gp subaru done. just thought i would get some oppinion here. thanks.

I would personally go for the 12 in the ported

depends on your power supply. the 12 in a ported box would get lower. (depending on what its tuned to) the 10s will hit a higher range of notes but wont be as "loud". I'd personally take the 12 if hes giving you money with it as well.

the 12 is what im thinking, power is coming from a hifonics bx1000d tens are at 1 ohm and the 12 is dual 2 ohm so all good there

unless air space is an issue i would take 2 10s over a single 12 using the same motor all day long.

I would personally rather have 2 10s instead of one 12 but that's just me.

2 10s > 1 12. Its not a fair trade on your end anyways. Just build a new ported box for yours and you'll probably be louder than him

Just port your 10's IMO, it'll hardly take up anymore room thana ported 12" box would...maybe 10-20% more, at the most.
