SketchUp Question

Does anyone know or have ideas on how to make the top piece as a solid part?

I think part of the problem is "non continous" lines, as they are build up of many small ones to get the desired shape. If I click on one of the lines only a small section of it becomes blue. Although the are still connected to another. I'm sure those who use SketchUp will understand.

I did manage to make walls on part of the small end where the lines are actually straight. (not shown in the pic)

I would really apreciate some good tips and tricks!

Maybe take just one of the lines, and pretty much copy it towards the center of the circle so it will make a "thickness" of that line, then click on the "follow me" option under the tools tab, and follow it around the outside of the speaker ring so it takes that shape. I dont know if it will work or if you will understand anything I just said because its really hard to explain without showing you.. lol
